Do you remember me complaining about Loony dragging his feet on our house marker project?

Let me refresh your memory.

This was once a nice mosaic but many winters have weakened the cement

The front walkway of our house is crumbling and every time Loony goes outside he comments that he needs to replace the mosaic with a flagstone marker. Now that his mother is here it is even more important that the walk is stable.

He wanted an engraved stone with the date our house was built and a tasteful image of a rose. I told him to pick out the image and I would do the rest.

Naturally, things didn’t go as planned.

I think he’ll get used to it. Given all the positive feedback I’ve already gotten, it will only be a matter of time before he starts talking like it was his idea all along.

I wasn’t exactly going for beautiful or whimsical, I was actually just lashing out at my husband but sometimes that’s how the magic works.

I’m leaving for Iceland tomorrow so wish me luck on my trip and I’ll keep you posted from the road.
