R.I.P. Robin Williams AKA Mork from Ork

Did you know that I live across the street from the Mork and Mindy house?

Over the years the owners of the historic McAllister House have been cranky about people gawking and taking pictures of their home.

They experienced a respite from all the attention with the younger generation having no idea what Mork and Mindy was or even who Robin Williams is.

But this week they are just going to have to deal with it.

Whether they liked the attention or not, their home is a Boulder landmark and one of the wonderful things that makes this town so weird, funky, beautiful and lovable.

Robin Williams, you made me laugh my ass off. Rest in peace.

  1. You left out the part where you were on the ten o’clock news last night! Consider me reader/follower (that sounds cultish) #14.

  2. That’s right, Mork & Mindy was set there in Boulder, wasn’t it? In that respect it was revolutionary for being a TV show set in the West, in a town & in a state other than California.

  3. Hi Vivienne (it’s me Kat Huong’s friend from Hawaii) I ran into Lonny with Blue while I was showing the Mork & Mindy house to my girls. I did remember from one of your post that Blue is not particularly fond of little girls so I made sure they had their distance while I remind your husband where we met and while I pet Blue finally 🙂

    • Hi Kat! Didn’t you move? You were one if my very first readers! I can’t believe you are still hanging in there! Glad you got to meet the stupid dog.
