Tuesday is my new favorite night.
With the opening of Vertical Fusion in Boulder, I have a place to take lessons and grow as a dancer. I’ve been taking pole technique classes, often starting over at the beginning to get back up to speed and feel confident again. The lights are up, the classes are co-ed, and we work, work, work … play.
But then there’s Tuesday night and Lemony’s new Check Me Out class taught in the Boulder studio. It’s ladies only, the lights are low, the door is locked, the music is loud, and it’s about dancing your butt off.
There was some inspired dancing going on. Some very dirty, nasty, hot, inspired dancing. No judgement, no self-consciousness, no worrying about what anyone else thinks. It’s amazing. And my ass is killing me.
Needless to say, I couldn’t record any of it. If you want to see what’s going on, you’re gonna have to join me. Amy, Heather, I’m talking to you!
It’s about a personal experience, dancing because it feels juicy and good, and checking your hot self out in the mirror. After most of the dancers left to go home and ice their burning muscles, I stuck around to catch Ken (AKA The Good Doctor) working out with Waeli and Lemony.
I stepped outside into the APEX space and was blown away by all the creativity and drive in the space. I had to made a video.
Keep in mind that everyone is practicing and perfecting moves, this was not a performance. We’re all getting there, so to speak. It’s awesome and frustrating and fun.
Except for Waeli, she has perfected the Hammer Dance and is ready to take it to prime time. In my usual creeper fashion, I whipped out my phone and started rolling.
Okay, time to cut the crap.
Haha. It’s funny how ideas happen at the same time ;). So much happens in one place every night that you’re right, it’s impossible not to want to capture the energy.
It’s pretty awesome. BTW, Lonny said the clipper set you are interested in vibrates a lot. There is a crack in the housing. Still interested?
Clippers? I think you must have me mistaken with someone else, or, you have the request matched to the wrong person ;).
Yup. It was meant for Melissa, the next comment down. WP got all weird.
What about the other one that was in a bag? Does it have all the comb attachments like the boxes one does?
I don’t know about that one. I’ll take a look. They are all pretty ancient. I demanded that Lonny buy me a new one if he wanted me to cut his hair.
Oh are they really that old? I’ll pass on the clippers then. I’ll let you know when I have the money to spare for the Japanese books, I still want those.
Wow, wish we had a place like that here in Eugene.
