Level 2 Routines: July 16, 2012

I’ve been teaching my Level 1 and 2 Skills classes for several months now. Since my Level 2 class ended I’ve only being teaching the beginning class once a week. I decided to pick up other people’s classes because I was never going to complete my apprentice hours at this rate. This happens to be a great time to pick up classes, especially because one of my fellow teachers loves to camp during the summer with her kids. I’ll teach her class anytime!

There are only so many beginning classes one person can teach so I decided to get brave and teach a routines class. As in, make up a routine and teach it. Freak out.

It turned out to not be that bad, the internet is a vast well of combinations and I’d be a dirty liar if I said I made all this up cold. Thank you to all those youtube posters out there who inspire me and help me do my job! Anyway, Jaslee showed up for my class and I set about teaching her this routine. I’m glad I choreographed more than I thought I needed because she’s a stellar student and a super quick study. I love how she’s all, “COOL!” when I show her something new. I’m super impressed that she didn’t know this routine at all 45 minutes before we shot this video.

Really? No way.
