Hi! My name is Vivienne and I am so happy that you decided to drop by my blog (tell your friends).
You probably think I’m a crazy hoarder with a stupid blog full of ugly pictures … and you’re right!
Actually, I’m not a hoarder but I have a lot of stuff … and I’m just a teensy bit crazy, but in a life-of-the-party kind of way. Go to the FAQ’s to get the skinny on me and what I do, but here’s the short version:
I am a mom, writer, ceramic artist, pole dance instructor and property manager. And I have chickens. I am a minimalist by nature but two kids and a garage-sale addicted husband with an eBay business has wreaked havoc on our home.
In December of 2012 I decided to get rid of at least ten things a day for a whole year. I take pictures of what I purge, say what I’m doing with the stuff (donate, sell, trash, recycle) and blog about what it means to me. Sometimes I write about my stupid dog, my family, pole dancing or Boulder randomness.
In December of 2013 I completed my mission, having gotten rid of 7303 items and blogged about it (almost) every day. Read about it here.
The numbers in parenthesis at the top of each post is a running tally of how much I’ve purged to-date.
My readers keep me honest and on-track (subscribe to my blog, like me on Facebook) and the more of you there are the harder it is for me to quietly give up my project and go back to shoving crap under the stairs.
I love comments and I’d really like to hear about what you are up to, especially if you are into cutting the crap, too. You don’t have to read this post again, but tell your friends. Please.
